Start your adventure with an early morning pickup from Haridwar Railway Station. Journey through the scenic mountain roads along the Alaknanda River, passing through Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag. Arrive in Joshimath by evening, check into your hotel, and rest for the trek ahead. The drive itself offers spectacular views of the Garhwal valleys and rushing rivers.
Overnight: Guesthouse or homestay in joshimath.
Meals: Dinner.
Transportation: Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from Haridwar railway station or Rishikesh.
Drive to Dhak: 10Km / 30 minutes | Trek Distance: 6 Km | Time: 4-5 hours
Altitude: Joshimath (1,875 m) → Gulling Top (2,940 m)
After a hearty breakfast, drive to Dhak village, the trek starting point. Begin your ascent through dense oak and rhododendron forests. The trail gradually opens up to snow-covered meadows with spectacular views of Nanda Devi and Dronagiri peaks. Reach Gulling Top campsite by evening and spend your first night under the stars in the Himalayas

Altitude: Gulling Top (2,940 m) → Khullara (3,350 m)
Trek through snow-laden trails and pristine alpine meadows. The landscape transforms into a winter paradise as you gain altitude. Cross Tali Forest Camp and continue to Khullara, where expansive snow-covered bugyals greet you with unobstructed Himalayan panoramas. Set up camp amidst this spectacular setting.
Overnight: Camping (twin sharing tents).
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, evening snacks, Dinner.
Trek Distance: 10-12 km (round trip) | Time: 8-9 hours
Altitude: Khullara (3,350 m) → kuari pass summit (3,850 m) → Khullara (3,350 m)
The most challenging and rewarding day of your trek. Start early for the summit push through deep snow. The trail climbs steadily through snow-covered meadows to Khullara Top and finally to Winter Kuari Pass. From the summit, experience the breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the Garhwal Himalayas. On clear days, witness the complete arc of peaks from the Badrinath valley to the Kedarnath massif. After soaking in the views and capturing memories, descend back to Khullara for overnight camping.

Altitude: Khullara (3,350 m) → Tugasi village (2,450 m)
Begin the descent through the magnificent Gorson Bugyal, one of the Himalayas' most beautiful high-altitude meadows. In winter, this vast expanse glistens under a thick blanket of snow, offering stunning contrasts between the white meadows and dark conifer forests. Get your best views of Nanda Devi peak from here. Continue descending through Auli (optional route depending on conditions) to reach Tugasi village. Experience traditional Garhwali village life.
Overnight: Camping or Homestay.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, evening snacks, Dinner.
Trek to Joshimarh: 2 Km | Drive to Rishikesh or Haridwar: 250 Km | Time: 8-10 hours
Altitude: Joshimath (1,875 m) → Haridwar (314 m)
After breakfast, trek down to the road head and drive back to Joshimath. Board your return vehicle for the long but scenic drive back to Haridwar. Arrive by evening with incredible memories of your winter Himalayan adventure. The trek concludes at Haridwar Railway Station or Rishikesh, depending on your preference.
Meals: Breakfast.
Transportation: Your journey end with an early morning pick-up from Joshimath and drop at Haridwar.

Pindari Glacier Trek – Fitness Checklist
To prepare for the Pindari Glacier Trek in Uttarakhand, your body needs strength, stamina, and flexibility. This printable checklist will help you track your progress and ensure a smooth trek from Khati to the Glacier.
Fitness
Area Walking / Jogging : 5–7 km daily walk or jog (45–60 min).
Stair Climbing : 20–30 floors or equivalent uphill.
Leg Strength : 15–20 squats x 3 sets.
Core Strength : Plank 30–60 sec x 3 reps.
Cardio Endurance : Cycling / Running 3 times a week.
Breathing Exercises : Deep breathing or pranayama daily.
Stretching & Mobility : 10–15 min full body stretch.
Backpack Practice : Carry 5–7 kg on short hikes.
Sleep & Recovery : 7–8 hours of quality sleep.
Hydration & Nutrition : 2–3 litres water, balanced diet.
Start training at least 4–6 weeks before the trek. The better your fitness, the more you’ll enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas during the Trek.
